Accelerate

Accelerate
UX Designer
July 2021 - January 2022
I was hired to Accelerate as a UX Designer, and quickly came to own all design needs for the educational side of the platform. This involved all stages of design from ideation to close communication with developers and pixel perfect handoffs. In these responsibilities, I fostered relationships with our higher level executives and used user flows, rough wireframes, and more to both clarify and inform business decisions.
The Solution
To optimize both design and development efforts, I carefully considered how I might be able to leverage components on the educational side of the platform, as well as the social media side while  considering the nuanced needs and variation the separate sides require.
The Problem
Accelerate was a startup with a very lean workforce and limited resources.
The Process
Being a small team, I quickly recognized that while I was owning the educational side of the platform, the more aware of the social media side of the platform that I was the more useful my designs could be. As such, I often attended meetings and sought to find connection points between both sides of the platform. This initiative often enabled workshopping and live wireframing to better understand the topic(s) at hand and evaluate the path forward.

Unfortunately, I was only able to grab one example of this cross-platform componentry after finding out the company was going bankrupt, but my efforts led to a greater parity between the two sides of the platform. Note the Event cards and the Learning cards below.
